It was a little over a year ago when I embarked on a Hay House cruise to the Western Caribbean to attend a Writers' Workshop and hoped to win a publishing contract with Hay House. I have repeatedly written about this event, because it was a very defining moment in my life. After being injured, I felt a little reluctant to make major decisions regarding my future. However, my little voice spoke once again, and I knew better than to ignore its message: GO ON THE CRUISE.
The cruise itself was okay. My focus was on the workshop and sleeping a lot. I didn't know I had so much backed-up sleep. I came back home thinner (I know.. Unheard of coming back from a cruise THINNER). I met A M A Z I N G human beings in that workshop and 10 of them are co-authors with me in an incredible book that is coming out this November. (A little plug in for my upcoming book Extraordinary You - The Art of Living a Lusciously Spirited, Vibrant Life).
Although, I did not win the Hay House contest (this time), the domino effect that has taken place from that fateful June in 2010 is simply amazingly divine. Every week I am reminded that dreams come true, no matter who you are or what you have done. With the help of a few friends, especially the creator of Extraordinary You (Vanessa Talbot), who coached me for six weeks and inspired me to see myself in a different light - I learned to see myself as someone with something to say and the right to say it. I knew it, then, with no doubt.. I am a writer! Shortly after I came back from the cruise I created my facebook page Camile Araujo - The Voice Within, and began to work on my memoir. The memoir took a halting stop when I adopted my daughter later that same year, and then I have been blessed to be a student of Dr. Demartini's teachings and learn his methods to live a life of intention, purpose and inspiration.
All the previous writing was done to finally get to this... Accepting my gift of writing and owning it wholeheartedly. Facing all the insecurities and fears I have towards it has pushed me to be brave and ask my friend Cheryl Price, Editor of the online magazine MobileWOMEN.org, and her friend Wendy Crawford, creator of MobileWOMEN.org to write for their magazine to inspire other mobile women to chase after their dreams and keep on being WOMEN above all.

I am currently working on my own book. A novel inspired by true events and the teachings of Dr. Demartini, and have been invited to collaborate in two other books. How does it get better than this? Really?
Above all, I am in a state of immense gratitude and deep appreciation for the opportunity and for having the courage to go after my dream.
It's only the beginning.. I feel it.
