Since all my fellow authors are celebrating the coming out of our first book (I believe it is the first for all of us), they are celebrating it big. I was inspired by Ghania Dib, founder of Philosophy - Live, Love, Thrive. She is having a book launching party on January 12 in Sydney Australia and she gave me a great idea.
Now, I'm on a mission to replicate it here in South Florida. I'm calling out for H-E-L-P!! I would love to hear from anyone who is genuinely interested in helping me plan this launching event.
I'm shooting for a date in mid February, but who knows how soon everything can come together, right?
It is truly an amazing accomplishment for me and I am so blessed and grateful to have participated in this project with these 10 incredible women. Reading the manuscript over and over inspires me every single day (yes, I read it over and over). I feel like we are sisters, although spread throughout two different continents. There is a point where you share something of yours with others and that thing stops being yours, and you let go so others could learn the most they can from it until they pass it on.. That's what's happened with this book, the process of writing this book and now the incredible adventure of marketing it.
I'm so grateful. Beyond words. I love what we have accomplished and have pure certainty that this golden book will change many lives. For someone who laid immobile in a hospital bed less than 5 years ago, wondering what her life would be.. This is a pretty huge accomplishment. I'm grateful to the women who co-authored the book: Ghania Dib, Asia Voight, Cynthia Zeki, Maria Russo, Leila Khani, Sue Crosby, Bianca Carroll, Minda Lennon, Cath Edwards. Indebted with enormous gratitude to Wendy (copy-editor from Wendy & Words), the creator, Vanessa Talbot and last but not least myself for having the courage to lay it out exactly how it was before, during and now. I feel free and appreciative of every step of the way..

Wonderful idea, Camile. There HAS to be a joint US launch, surely! Come on girls. I'm sure you can do this all together. How beautiful! Wendy (Wendy & Words) Oh, wish I could be there. Why is Australia so farrrr away?
Thank you, Wendy.. To be fair, the US ladies have come up with an idea for a book signing in January up in Chicago. I don't know yet, what that will entail.. I would love one here in South Florida too, since I'm working on media coverage and lots of surprise, fun stuff for the guests. I'd love if our US gals could join me, as the details get more concrete, I will definitely let them know what's going on and they are MORE THAN WELCOME to join me on the celebration!
